After working on her GED for some time, Chelsea recently got some good news regarding her future in cosmetology!
In the mean time she has been practicing her hair skills!

AGAIN Heather, this post (just like the one about Leah) has NO information in it. Why are you writing stories that lack.. a story?
Chelsea is taking classes in South Dakota. It may have something to o with that.
And I don’t get the whole “she’s been working on her GED” line. She GOT her GED, over a year ago.
So…. what’s the good news? And did she get her G.E.D or not? It just says she’s been “working” on it. You actually have to take the test, you know.

No problem :) there’s an article on teenmomjunkies with a little bit of information on it. And I have a mutual friend with Chelsea (no, I don’t speak with Chelsea personally, nor have I met her) that confirms she’s in school and has her GED.
Is she going to cosmetology school or is she taking legit classes at an actual college/university?
well that didnt give much info or ‘news’, but im sure we are all smart enough to figure it out. It took her long enough! Lets see how long it takes her to finish cosmetology school since she likes to slack so damn much.

who cares how long its gonna take her to do cosemtology school? who cares how long it took her to get her GED! … the point is she got it and shes furthering her education.
It is REALLY hard to do school and have kids. I BABYSIT and i find it difficult to do my homework while babysitting ( I have the mothers permission to do that, so dont call me a horrible babysitter, plus the kids are indepedent). They awlays want something or they are so loud. It took me foreverrr to read 50 pages because I had to keep going back at it because every 2 mins a kid was interruppting me.
POINT IS… as long as she gets it, it doesnt matter how long it takes.
@autumnrose I am curious as to whether or not she has gotten her GED, if she did it was mighty recent as in this week recent because just this Thursday she was at my school (Southeast Technical Institute) with her mtv camera crew and a faculty member confirmed that she was using the schools adult learning center to help get her GED.
Sorry but I am going to take the word of an adult faculty member who is personally involved in Chelsea’s situation over a ‘I have a friend who is her friend’ I am not saying you are wrong tho, she might have been there to finally get her GED that day but she clearly hasn’t had it for awhile.
It almost seems like Heather actually started to write an article.. Forgot what she was going to write, so just quickly finished it up with a photo.. We all know Heather actually doesn’t really know anything but let’s let her believe whatever she wants. And come on, I learnt how to do those fishtail braids or whatever they’re called a couple years ago and I have no interest in ever working with hair.
Stefxoxo- while it might be hard to get things done with a kid, its not impossible to get it done on time.. you have to have good work ethics and your priorities in line. Few things that chelsea obviously doesn’t have. Atleast that is how MTV portrays her. Look how long it took her to start school after getting her GED. She could have been going to school this whole time but she obviously didnt. Maybe it just wasn’t a priority of hers..who knows really
@radred the commercial for this season showed chelsea saying “yay mommy got her ged” and the show was filmed a year ago, soo…

Stefxoxo- I don’t know where you are getting your information from, but she still didn’t get her GED. You made it sound like it’s awesome that she got it. Props to her if she does, but I’m gunna believe it when I see it! It’s not like high school. You study for a test and then take it… I doubt she has even tried to take it yet. Not only that but she doesn’t even pay for anything. Her dad pays for everything. (and I doubt the little money she makde at the tanning salon went to bills!) I have friends who work 2 jobs, go to school, take care of their kid! If she spent as much time on her GED as she did worrying about adam she would be golden!

It showed in the previews for this season that she got her GED.
I don’t think she has her GED. She’s made appearances on news shows and she didn’t have one as of November/December. It’s confusing because sometimes it seems like she did and others she says she hasn’t. Either way, those saying it’s hard to go to school with kids – oh please, cry me a river. One of my grad school classmates worked full time, has 3 sons (one with Downs), and managed grad school full time. Yeah, she was super woman, but it’s definitely possible. Chelsea’s dad pays all of her bills and she doesn’t work, so there’s no excuse for her.

Also she HAS gotten her GED because on her twitter she was tweeting someone (who I follow as well) saying that she was going to be going to beauty school Tues-Sat 8:30am-4pm.
The girl I babysit is a single mom , 24 years old, 2 kids, never gotten past gr 9 and is in university full time and succeeding. Yes shes older but at least she IS going and will get her degree.
THATS what my point is… that at least Chelsea is doing school.. who cares when or how long it will take. Shes young and has a kid. its better for her spend her time teaching aubs stuff for the first few years of her life then never be there for aubs.
Stefxoxo-So, working parents can’t teach their kids or can’t be there for their kids???? I take offense to that because I am a working mom and I spend all my free time with my son and I teach him things all the time. You can do both..and Chelsea should get off her lazy ass and do something with her life and stop always relying on daddy for everything. She is an adult now and it’s time to start acting like it. Everytime we see her she is laying on the damn couch. SHE IS LAZY.
Anyone who has watched the trailer for TM2 knows she got her GED it’s on there She tells Aubree “Mommy passed her GED test!!” Seriously I just think Heather doesn’t care about this site anymore whatsover. The articles lack any type of useful information.
And what exactly is she teaching Aubree? That it’s ok to mooch off your parents your whole life and lay on the couch and not do anything? If she went to school or at least worked she would be showing Aubree that you can do anything you put your mind to and finishing school would be a great thing. Maybe if she got a job, she would realize how hard her father works to EARN his money and it’s not just handed to you..she needs to learn the value of a dollar and that is something her parents failed at..they created a spoiled little brat who thinks she entitled to everytihng. I just hope she gets off her ass and stops whining about stupid shit.

Hey Stefxoxo – I’m a single mom who had my daughter at 18 and am now graduating college with highest honors at age 20, and I just got accepted into law school. No one watches my daughter for me while I study. I prioritize and stay up to get my work done after she goes to bed. Just because you and Chelsea don’t have any drive or determination don’t make assumptions about everyone else who has kids. Most of the rest of us have our priorities straight and want to make a better life for our children, not sit on our butt all day and let someone else pay our rent.
I can do a better fish tail braid than that… and I have no desire to be in the beauty industry.
I find it funny that people think they can dictate Chelsea’s life like they know her. Get a hobby.

You guys realize that you have to past two sets of tests to get your GED, right?
The first set (at the above mentioned school) you must have a higher grade then what the GED requires in order to qualify to write the actual test. It’s the same test, just less questions. Once you pass that, you’re able to take the GED exam.
So regardless if a Teen Mom ad shows her saying she passed it, it may not have been the final test.
education standards are different in every state. it’s dumb how matter-of-fact and rude every one is.
@jenny_Ann, do YOU realize every state is diffrent? I love how you say so matter-of-factly that there is “two sets” of test to pass your G.E.D.? I took 1 pre-test (costs no money, just to see what you need to study on more), and then I took the G.E.D. test the following week and passed with flying colors. I don’t see whats taking her yearsssss to get it? Aubree is like what?, 2 now? Seems to me Chelsea just likes sitting on the couch, watching movies, and tweeting, more than she cares about getting her G.E.D., getting in cosmetology school, getting a job, and stop living off Daddy and child support.
Chelsea’s just a lazy spoiled little shit, that’s why it took her so long to get her GED. In any case, if she does have it now like rumour says she does, good for her. Now lets just hope she applies herself when it comes to her post secondary education. There is no easy way out of this one and even daddy’s credit card can’t save her. Oh, I’m being rude? Tough shit, shouldn’t of put her life on television for everybody to critique.
I can’t stand the fact that people treat this girl like she’s some kind of hero. Living off child support, daddy’s pay cheque, and MTV makes her pretty much the worst example for teenage mothers everywhere. Chelsea was the only mother on Teen Mom 2 who didn’t get her high school diploma. Even Leah did it with TWINS. It’s not like Chelsea can even blame a lack of family support, like Amber from Teen Mom does. She was just LAZY. Chelsea has no idea what it means to really struggle. Not even where Adam is concerned. Everybody has to go to through heart break in their life…she’s the one who chooses to continue to go back for more. Great example you’re setting for your daughter, Chelsea! Hopefully she doesn’t grow up believing that being entirely dependent on the men in your life is the right choice. Hopefully she learns from her mother’s mistakes and becomes a self sufficient, independent woman!
mamadee-Well said!! I didn’t even realize that Chelsea was the only one who didn’t graduate HS! Also, I guess MTV doesn’t show Chelsea partying(someone on some fanpage site said it) so, do you tihnk when she is being a lazy ass laying on the couch, she’s nursing her hangovers?? lmao
What kills me even more is that Chelsea is the oldest of all the TM2 girls. And she is around the same age as Maci and Farrah. Even though it’s taken forever for Maci to get her degree, at least she DOES show some form of motivation and more importantly, doesn’t live off her parents.
They are all around the same age as Farrah and Maci..Chelsea and Jenelle are 20 and Leah and Kail are 19(will be 20 this yr)…Maci has gotten lazy with her schooling and I blame Kyle for that. Chelsea is just lazy all around, lol
