16 & Pregnant – Season 4 – Sabrina Solares – RECAP
Sabrina moved to Tennessee to live with her mom during her senior year, but her boyfriend stayed behind in California. He keeps delaying coming to live with her, saying there’s a “family thing” going on, completely ignoring the family thing coming out of her lady bits.
Her mom & friends hang out with her and eat ice cream and stuff. Baby daddy yells at her gelato via phone & she has a break down.
Baby daddy finally gets a ticket for her due date the day that she goes to the hospital for Pre-E. They induce her because it’s healthiest for the baby and I’m not sure who took it harder, Sabrina or her mom. This is the first time I recall seeing anyone in this season get an epidural who has a vaginal delivery.
Baby gets here and is crying, etc. Grandma notices the baby turning purple & then immediately stops crying. They call NICU and cart the baby off ASAP. Grandma has an insanely loud emotional reaction which just upset Sabrina more. Fortunately, it was just some displaced fluid that wound up correcting itself.
Sabrina called Iman to talk to him about Audrey’s status and she found out that he was lying the entire time about having his ticket to go to Tennessee. Her mom then erupted in emotion again, causing Sabrina to be even more stressed out than she already was. 2 for 2. Anyway, baby comes home and baby daddy is shockingly not there.
Sabrina’s mom then gets all emotional again and convinces Sabrina that Iman is a douchebag who’s cheating on her and never coming to Tennessee. Not. Helping. Woman. Joke’s on her because Iman comes and surprises her. Boom.
Looks like Iman has stepped up to the parental plate because him and Sabrina are now happily engaged! Iman is a surprisingly likable guy when he’s actually around. he was sweet, affectionate, patient, and ready to take on his fatherly duties. He even insisted on “bending over backwards” to make sure that she finished school.
Sabrina’s sister wins the best sister of the year award. She was beside her side throughout the entire episode and even watched Audrey a few hours a night so Sabrina could sleep.
